Abstract:
The disclosed vehicle fuel tank assembly (30) comprises a fuel pump unit (35) and a flat fuel tank (31) that is mounted inclined in the front-back direction of a straddled vehicle (1) and is longer in the front-back direction. The fuel pump unit (35) is equipped with a main body (37), a support section (38) that extends from the top of the main body (37) in a manner so as to follow the lengthwise direction of the fuel tank (31), and a fuel level gauge (39) that extends supported by the support section (38). The fuel level gauge (39) is equipped with a fuel level gauge main body (40), a float arm (41) of which the base end (41a) is supported oscillatably in the vertical direction by the fuel level gauge main body (40), and a float (42) that is supported at the tip (41b) of the float arm (41). The float arm extends along the lengthwise direction of the fuel tank (31), and can assume an upward oscillation limit position at roughly the center level of the height of the fuel tank (31). As a result, the fuel level can be detected across a wide range.
