Abstract:
This vehicle headlight control device is provided with: a pedestrian detection unit which detects pedestrians; and a headlight control unit which controls an irradiation state of a headlight. The headlight control unit executes a dimming control for controlling the irradiation state of the headlight so that the surroundings of the pedestrian are dimmed, when the pedestrian detection unit detects a pedestrian within an irradiation range of the headlight. A portion of a high beam or a low beam, or a marking light from a dedicated light source is irradiated onto the pedestrian. A dimming region is formed around the pedestrian by the dimming control, and a contrast in brightness between the pedestrian and the surroundings can be raised.
