Abstract:
A vehicle headlight (10) comprises: a light source unit (30) having a plurality of light-emitting elements (35); a reflector (39) which scans light from the plurality of light-emitting elements (35) and forms a light distribution pattern (350); and a control unit (60). The light distribution pattern (350) includes a superimposed area (PA) where light from at least two of the light-emitting elements (35) is superimposed. The control unit (60), in a case where a signal indicating the detection of an object positioned in front of the vehicle 10 is inputted from a detection device 110, controls the light source unit (30) such that, among the light-emitting elements projecting light on a prescribed area (AR) overlapping the object in a superimposed area (PA), the amount of light projected on the prescribed area (AR) overlapping the object by some of the light-emitting elements does not change, and the amount of light projected on the prescribed area (AR) overlapping the object by other light-emitting elements changes.
