Abstract:

This vehicle headlight (1) is equipped with: a light source unit (10) for forming a light distribution pattern which can be changed by light beams emitted from a light source group (130); and a control unit (CO). Upon input, from a detection unit (29) for detecting another vehicle present in front of an ego-vehicle (100), of a detection signal of said other vehicle, the control unit (CO) causes first light sources of the light source group (130), which emit light toward a first region (AR1) including an area overlapping a visual recognition part of said other vehicle used by a driver thereof to visually recognize the outside of said other vehicle, to emit light having a lower light intensity than in the case where no detection signal is inputted, and causes second light sources that are among second light sources of the light source group (130), which emit light toward a second region (AR2) surrounding the first region (AR1), and that emit light toward a lower-side region (BA1) located lower than the first region (AR1) to emit light at a lower light intensity toward a location closer to the first region (AR1).
