Abstract:

Provided is a vehicle hood including: outer ditch sections (3) that extend along respective vehicle-width-direction ends and a rear end of an inner panel (2) and that each have a shape protruding away from an outer panel (1); and a striker fixing part (5) that is provided continuously from bottom surfaces of the outer ditch sections (3) and to which a striker of a hood locking device is fixed. The vehicle hood further includes: openings (6) that are bored in the inner panel (2) at positions closer to the rear of the vehicle than the striker fixing part (5) is; annular sections (7) that are provided along the peripheries of the openings (6) in an annular manner and that are bonded with respect to a lower surface of the outer panel (1); and island sections (8) that each have a shape protruding toward the outer panel (1), with the annular sections (7) serving as top surfaces. The vehicle hood further includes: a first terrace section (11) that surrounds the entire circumferences of the island sections (8) and that forms a terrace-like first terrace surface between the island sections (8) and the outer ditch sections (3); and island-section slits (9) that have shapes obtained by cutting out regions between the annular sections (7) and the first terrace surface (11) in a slit-like manner and that are disposed radially with respect to each of the openings (6).
