Abstract:
This vehicle information processing device is provided with: a steering assistance unit which, in order to assist steering by a driver driving a vehicle, causes a steering mechanism to operate in such a way that the vehicle travels while maintaining a lane in which the vehicle is traveling; a detecting unit which detects a physical quantity that varies concomitant with a change in a component which is a constituent of the steering mechanism, when the steering mechanism operates; and a notifying unit which, when the steering assistance unit causes the steering mechanism to operate on the basis of an operating instruction to maintain the lane, issues a notification of state information if the physical quantity detected by the detecting unit is outside a standard region defined by the operating instruction.
