Provided are: a vehicle interior board that suffers less deterioration, separation, or the like near metal plate ends, is higher quality, thinner and lighter in weight, and stronger, and offers superior productivity; and a method for producing same. The present invention is provided with a pair of metal plates 11, 12, and a polyurethane foam layer 13 formed between the pair of metal plates 11, 12. In a peripheral edge section, the polyurethane foam layer 13 covers peripheral ends 11c, 12c of the metal plates 11, 12, and is formed so as to be flush with outer surfaces 11a, 12a of the metal plates 11, 12. Due to this configuration, oxidation of the peripheral ends 11c, 12c, which are cut surfaces of the metal plates 11, 12, can be curbed. There is also better bonding between the metal plates 11, 12 and the polyurethane foam layer 13, and separation of the metal plates 11, 12, fragmenting of the polyurethane foam layer 13, and the like can be prevented. It also becomes easier to demold the vehicle interior board 1.
