Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle interior member equipped with a personal authentication device capable of performing personal authentication of an occupant even when the outward physical features of the occupant have changed. A vehicle interior member (M) is provided in a vehicle (V) and comprises a personal authentication device (1) which includes: a measuring instrument (10) including an olfactory sensor (11) for measuring the components of expired air of an occupant (H) riding the vehicle (V); and a control controller (30) which includes a determination unit (32) that is connected to the measuring instrument (10) to perform personal authentication by comparing a measurement result obtained by the olfactory sensor (11) with pre-registered occupant identification information.
