Abstract:
A controller (300) performs pulse width modulation (PWM) control of a plurality of light emitting pixels (PIX1 to PIXn) arranged in an array constituting a variable light distribution lamp (200). A common counter (310) is provided in common for the plurality of light emitting pixels (PIX1 to PIXn), and generates a common count value (cv) having a ramp waveform. A signal processing unit (320): generates a plurality of duty cycle command values indicating the duty cycles of the plurality of light emitting pixels (PIX1 to PIXn), in accordance with a light distribution command (S1), and holds a plurality of offset values corresponding to the plurality of light emitting pixels; generates an individual count value for each light emitting pixel by adding the corresponding offset value to the common count value; and generates individual PWM signals (pwm1 to pwmn) in accordance with the result of a comparison between the individual count values and the corresponding duty cycle command value.
