An objective of the present invention is to prevent high-pressure wash water that is injected via a narrow gap from reaching the rear side of a lamp housing, and to prevent water from flooding a lamp unit. This vehicle lamp unit waterproofing structure is provided with a narrow gap (S) that is formed between the obverse lower edge of a lamp unit (10) and the upper end (64u) of the design face (64e) of a bumper (64). A watertight barrier (20) is disposed on the lamp unit (10), behind the bumper (64), so as to follow the narrow gap (S), and is formed so as to protrude downward from the lower surface (14x) of the lamp unit (10). The watertight barrier (20) is configured to be elastically deformable, elastically deforms by receiving high-pressure wash water that is injected via the narrow gap (S), coming into contact with the downwardly extended face (33) of the lamp attachment depression face (32), thereby allowing preventing the high-pressure wash water from reaching the rear side of the lamp unit (10).
