Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle lamp having an excellent appearance. This vehicle lamp includes: a lamp lens (40); an excitation light source (11); and an inorganic light emitting body (101). The inorganic light emitting body (101) includes an inorganic light emitting layer (32). The inorganic light emitting layer (32): generates a first light pattern P1 corresponding to a required pattern P as a result of emission of excitation light Lb when the excitation light source (11) is on; and generates a light pattern P2 corresponding to the required pattern P as a result of scattering of external light LtI when the excitation light source (11) is off. The luminance of the first light pattern P1 is greater than the luminance of the second light pattern P2. As a result, in the case of the excitation light source (11) being on and in the case of being off, the two light patterns P1, P2 with different manners of lighting can be obtained and, as such, the appearance is excellent.
