Abstract:
To provide a vehicle lavatory unit with which parts of the body including feet can be easily washed without increasing the size thereof and without requiring cleaning work. When washing feet in a vehicle lavatory unit 10, a lavatory seat 26 is set to a use position and a cover 28 is set to an open position. The cover 28 and a draining plate 32 are released from a coupled state effected by an engagement/disengagement mechanism 38, and the draining plate 32 is pivoted to a placement position with the cover 28 remaining at the open position. Furthermore, a water faucet 34 is held by a faucet locking tool 42. When a foot is placed on the draining plate 32, water is discharged from the water faucet 34 for a predetermined period of time by a water control 44, so that the foot can be washed on the draining plate 32. The water is discharged from an outlet to inside a lavatory basin body. When the feet have been washed, water is wiped away from the upper surface of the draining plate 32 and the draining plate 32 is pivoted from the placement position to the open position of the cover 28 or the cover 28 is pivoted to a closed position.
