Abstract:

The present invention comprises: a light source unit (21) capable of shining light in front of a vehicle (1) in a first lighting mode or in a second lighting mode that shines light at a higher brightness than the first lighting mode; a camera (6) capable of imaging the area in front of the vehicle (1); an imaging control unit (24) for setting the lighting mode of the light source unit (21) and the imaging timing of the camera (6); and an image generating unit (25) for arithmetically processing an image obtained by the camera (6). The imaging control unit (24) makes the camera (6) image the area in front of the vehicle (1) and outputs a first image to the image generating unit (25) when the light source unit (21) shines light in front of the vehicle (1) in the first lighting mode, and makes the camera (6) image the area in front of the vehicle (1) and outputs a second image to the image generating unit (25) when the light source unit (21) shines light in front of the vehicle (1) in the second lighting mode. The image generating unit (25) generates a single output image from the first image and the second image.
