Abstract:
The present invention relates to a vehicle location checking system capable of more efficiently detecting the location of a parked vehicle by using images captured by a camera installed at an upper position in an outdoor or ground level parking lot, and to a method of controlling same. A vehicle location checking system for a parking lot which uses an imaging technique with respect to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a camera module installed at an upper position in a parking lot to capture a plurality of parking planes partitioned in the parking lot; and an image analysis device for processing images captured by the camera module. The camera module may further comprise: an omnidirectional dual camera provided with a first fisheye lens for capturing an omnidirectional first scanning image, and a second fisheye lens for capturing an omnidirectional second scanning image; and a number recognition camera for capturing the license plates of vehicles parked in the plurality of parking planes. The image analysis device may further comprise a sensing unit for using the first scanning image and the second scanning image to determine whether vehicles are parked in the plurality of parking planes.
