Abstract:
A management server (10) that serves as a vehicle management device in a vehicle management system processes member information about users of the vehicle management system, member vehicle information about vehicles being owned or managed by the users, and reservation management information about reservation for use of the vehicles, and is able to communicate with a vehicle (21) as a rental vehicle, a terminal (31) used by a rental member, a vehicle (22) as a borrowing member vehicle, and a terminal (32) of a borrowing member. The management server (10), upon reception from the vehicle (21) of the rental member an unlocking request notification notifying acceptance of a request for unlocking by means of key information for allowing the borrowing member to use the vehicle (21) temporarily, makes a state confirmation of the vehicle (22) of the borrowing member and, if the vehicle (22) is under management by the system, determines that an unlocking condition is satisfied and transmits unlocking permission information for unlocking an electronic key of the vehicle (21) of the rental member.
