Abstract:
A vehicle monitoring system captures and displays an image of the outside of an open-state door when a train in which doors are provided, respectively, on both sides (A side and B side) of each car has stopped, and is provided with: a plurality of cameras provided to correspond to the plurality of doors; and a management device for determining a camera corresponding to the open-state door. The management device: associates and stores identifiers of the plurality of cameras, and initial positions indicating which of the A side and the B side the respective cameras are located on, and after acquiring door open side information (B side) and open door specification information specifying the open-state door, when the train stops; regarding a car in which the initial position of a door-open camera corresponding to the open-state door specified by the open door specification information and the door open side information match on the B side, determines a camera the initial position of which is on the B side as a display-use camera that is used for display; and regarding a car in which the initial position of the door-open camera and the door open side information do not match on the B side, determines a camera the initial position of which is on the A side as the display-use camera.
