Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle motor drive device capable of reliably preventing double engagement between a two-way roller clutch of a current gear and a two-way roller clutch of a next gear. A first-gear engaging projection (66a) is provided to a first-gear friction plate (52a), an engaging concavity (65) is provided to a shift ring (51), the first-gear engaging projection (66a) and the engaging concavity (65) are formed so as to engage with each other and restrict the shift ring (51) from rotating relative to the first-gear friction plate (52a) when the shift ring (51) is in a first-gear shift position (SP1f), a protruding piece (63) is provided to the inner periphery of the shift ring (51), an annular protrusion (58) having a notch (62) is provided in the outer periphery of an output shaft (22), and the protruding piece (63) and the annular protrusion (58) are formed so that when the protruding piece (63) is taken out in the axial direction from the notch of the annular protrusion (58) and the position of the protruding piece (63) and the position of the notch (62) of the annular protrusion (58) are offset in the circumferential direction, the protruding piece (63) interferes with the annular protrusion (58), thereby restricting the shift ring (51) from moving in the axial direction between the first-gear shift position (SP1f) and a second-gear shift position (SP2f).
