Abstract:

An objective of the present invention is to allow a receiving-side vehicle to accurately estimate the position of a transmitting-side vehicle. Provided is a vehicle-mounted communication device 1 which is mounted upon a vehicle, said device comprising: a vehicle-to-vehicle communication unit 15; a position estimation information acquisition unit 14 which periodically acquires a plurality of types of position estimation information; a storage unit 11 which stores each of the plurality of types of position estimation information in association with acquisition time information which denotes an acquisition time at which the corresponding position estimation information was acquired; and a control unit 10 which transmits vehicle information by the vehicle-to-vehicle communication unit 15. Among the transmitted plurality of types of position estimation information, at least one of the types of position estimation information is the position estimation information included in the one of the types of position estimation information with which the acquisition time information denoting the latest acquisition time is associated, and another of the types of position estimation information, which differs from said one of the types of position estimation information, is the position estimation information with which associated is the acquisition time information which denotes the nearest acquisition time to the acquisition time at which said one of the types of position estimation information was acquired.
