Abstract:
Provided are a vehicle-mounted communication device, a communication method, and a computer program for achieving communications in a vehicle using an Ethernet (registered trademark) communication protocol. A vehicle-mounted communication device according to an embodiment is provided with: a communication unit for performing communications using an Ethernet communication protocol via a communication line provided in a vehicle; a storage unit in which information included in a frame received by the communication unit and information for determining whether the frame is correct or not are stored in association with each other; and a processing unit for determining whether the frame is correct or not on the basis of the information included in the frame received by the communication unit and the information associated and stored in the storage unit. The processing unit discards the frame if it is determined that the frame received by the communication unit is not a valid frame.
