Abstract:
A vehicle-mounted communication system comprising a first vehicle-mounted communication device and a second vehicle-mounted communication device that transmit and receive signals to and from each other using a prescribed communication protocol pertaining to Ethernet (registered trademark), wherein: the first vehicle-mounted communication device is provided with a PHY unit having a communication circuit, and an assessment processing unit that assesses whether the second vehicle-mounted communication device is in a link-down sleep state; the PHY unit is configured so as to output a prescribed signal to the second vehicle-mounted communication device when the second vehicle-mounted communication device is assessed to be in the sleep state; and the second vehicle-mounted communication device is provided with a PHY unit having a communication circuit, a detection circuit that detects the prescribed signal inputted to the PHY unit, and a power source circuit that wakes up the PHY unit when the detection circuit has detected the prescribed signal.
