Abstract:
Disclosed is a vehicle-mounted device which is mounted in a vehicle and provided with a display device and/or a speaker as an output device. The vehicle-mounted device is further provided with: a communication means for communicating with a portable device provided with an information processing function; and an output control means for receiving, by way of the communication means, information that has been output as the result of information processing performed by the portable device, and for controlling the outputting of the received information to the output device. The output control means determines whether received information satisfies a predefined condition that is specified from the viewpoint of vehicle safety. If it is determined that the received information satisfies the condition, the output control means outputs the received information to the output device. If it is determined that the received information does not satisfy the condition, the output control means either processes the received information into a form such that the condition is satisfied or delays the outputting of the received information until the received information satisfies the condition, and then outputs the received information to the output device. In this way, it is possible to output, by way of a display device and/or a speaker etc. of a vehicle-mounted device, information that has been output by an application of a portable device, while safety is also maintained.
