Abstract:
This vehicle-mounted device comprises: a location measurement unit that measures the location of the present vehicle; a wireless communication unit that, by performing wireless communication with another vehicle, transmits present vehicle information including location information of the present vehicle to the other vehicle, and receives other vehicle information including location information of the other vehicle from the other vehicle; and a monitoring unit that, when the wireless communication is interrupted, estimates the location of the other vehicle and calculates the relative distance between the present vehicle and the other vehicle, and, when the relative distance is less than a predetermined threshold, executes a warning process for preventing collision between the present vehicle and the other vehicle.
