Abstract:
In a vehicle-mounted display device, an obstacle recognizing circuit recognizes an obstacle existing in the periphery of the host vehicle (S120), and an image output circuit causes a display unit (5) to display an obstacle image representing the obstacle which is recognized by the obstacle recognizing circuit in a prescribed displayable range on the lower part of a windshield (17). In this case, the obstacle appears above the line of sight of the driver toward the obstacle image (S180 through S200).
