This vehicle-mounted information device comprises: a display (4); an operating plate (3) which is provided so as to be able to move along the display screen of the display (4); and a function switching unit (8) which can switch between the functions provided to the vehicle which are susceptible to being operated by the operating plate (3), the switching taking place according to the position of the operating plate (3).
