Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to improve security of a vehicle by detecting or eliminating attacks on a vehicle-mounted network by an unauthorized ECU while suppressing increase in processing load (and cost) of each vehicle-mounted control device. The vehicle-mounted network system as laid out in the present invention is characterized in providing a communication rules issuing device which has a function which delivers definition data to the vehicle-mounted control devices via a registration device which registers the vehicle-mounted control devices in the vehicle-mounted network, said definition data defining a portion of the communications rules that is dependent on the implementation on the vehicle-mounted network.
