Abstract:
This vehicle-mounted updating device is provided with a storage unit and a control unit, and acquires an updating program transmitted from an external server outside a vehicle and performs a process to update a program in a vehicle-mounted control device mounted in the vehicle, wherein: the acquired updating program is stored in the storage unit; the control unit controls transmission of the acquired updating program to the vehicle-mounted control device; and the control unit compares derived values derived on the basis of the updating program stored in the storage unit before and after an interruption when the transmission is interrupted by the vehicle being stopped, and determines the validity of the updating program stored in the storage unit on the basis of the comparison result.
