Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a vehicle overturn detection device, in which malfunctions can be prevented even when noise from an external factor affects the detection of the inclination of a vehicle. [Solution] This overturn detection device 1 is mounted to a motorcycle M. The overturn detection device 1 is provided with: an acceleration sensor 2 which detects acceleration at intervals determined in an interval adjustment device 3; a threshold determination device 4 which determines whether or not a detected angle exceeds a predetermined threshold; a count device 5 which counts the number of times the threshold has been determined to have been exceeded; and an overturn determination device 6 which determines that the motorcycle M is overturned when the count has continued for a prescribed number of iterations. In the interval adjustment device 3, pulses generated on the basis of white noise are set as the intervals, and thus noise will not continuously affect the values detected by the acceleration sensor.
