Abstract:
A vehicle panoramic view system comprises a wide-angle camera (1), and an image data storage and processing module (2) electrically connected thereto. The image data storage and processing module (2) comprises image memory (21) and an image processor (22). The image processor (22) is configured to combine, into a panoramic view image, an image of a previous position stored in the image memory (21) and an image taken by the wide-angle camera (1) at a current position, and transmit, to a display device (3), the panoramic view image. The image memory (21) is configured to store an image taken by the wide-angle camera (1) and the panoramic view image combined by the image processor (22). Also provided is a vehicle panoramic view method. By identifying characteristic points of the image taken at the current position and the image of the previous position, matching the characteristic points of the two images, computing a transformation relationship between the two images, and transforming the image of the previous position to the image taken at the present position, the embodiment implements uniformly sharp and clear images having seamless and smooth transition.
