Description:
VEHICLE PARKING POSITIONING DEVICE

This invention relates to a warning device when parking (positioning) a vehicle in a garage.

For many people, parking (positioning) a vehicle in a garage can be somewhat stressful when judging distances between the vehicle and the garage walls. The idea of this invention is to take the guesswork out of parking the vehicle (car) in the garage.

Once placed on the floor of the garage at a certain distance from the end wall the car can be driven straight into the garage without the worn of hitting the end wall and damaging your vehicle, which of course can be costly and stressful. When the driver detects that the front/rear wheels have touched the device this will alert them that the vehicle is now at its maximum safest distance from the end wall. The driver will then simply put their foot un the brake, put the vehicle into its park position and turn the engine off.

The device could be used in tandem garages, by placing one of the devices towards the end wall for the first car and another one at the half wav point in the tandem garage. This will ensure that when the second car is driven into the garage the driver can detect when their vehicle is at a safe distance from the vehicle that is parked in the front of the tandem garage. Because the device will be made from rubber it will be relatively easy to maneuver around the garage or carport should one wish to move it info another position.

Basically the casting (mould) of the device would be made from cither recycled or new rubber. This allows for the device to be easily placed on the gaτago floor The divice can also be cast (molded) into smaller versions for the purpose of protecting the doors of the vehicle from the side walls of the garage when a person is opening the doors when entering or leaving the vehicle. The smaller version, of the device is designed to be mounted to the sidewalls of the garage by way of either a heavy-duty double sided adhesive tape or traditional forms of fixing (e.g. nailing, screwing etc. )
