Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a vehicle pedal device-use backward movement prevention device for suppressing backward movement of an operation pedal if a dashboard is displaced rearward with respect to a vehicle in conjunction with a front impact to the vehicle, the device being capable of suppressing rearward movement of the operation pedal inexpensively and reliably. A brake pedal device 1 comprises a first bracket 10, a second bracket 15, a rotating shaft 20, an operation pedal 30, an intermediate lever 35, a first bracket 10, a second bracket 15, a rotating shaft 20, an operation pedal 30, an intermediate lever 35, a coupling link 40, and a holding mechanism section 50. If the second bracket 15 comes into contact with an impact bracket C due to a front impact or the like, the second bracket 15 rotates around the rotating shaft 20, separating from the holding mechanism section 50 and causing the operation pedal 30 to separate from the first bracket 10. The operation pedal 30 is coupled via the coupling link 40 to the intermediate lever 35 disposed to the first bracket 10, and therefore the amount of rearward movement of the operation pedal 30 can be suppressed in conjunction with the rotation of the second bracket 15.
