Abstract:
It comprises a vehicle-side bracket (4) having a vehicle attachment (4c) to be attached to a vehicle, and a pair of right and left opposed flat plates (4a, 4b), a steering column (2) formed by bulging part of tubular material and having a bulge (13) to be pressed against the pair of opposed flat plates (4a, 4b) of the bracket on the vehicle side, a stick (5) extending through the pair of opposed flat plates (4a, 4b) and bulge (13) and adapted to adjust the spacing between the pair of opposed flat plates (4a, 4b) as the operating lever (8) is rotated, wherein the steering column (2) has a region located between the stick (5) and at least the vehicle attachment (4c) and having substantially the same width as that of the region of the stick (5) extending through the bulge (13).
