Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a vehicle power storage device having adequate charging/discharging cycle performance and with which it is possible to ensure an adequate amount of electricity as the amount of electricity to be used during normal operation, while ensuring an amount of electricity to be kept in reserve; a vehicle discharge system; a discharge control method; and a vehicle power storage element. [Solution] One embodiment of the present invention is a vehicle power storage device provided with a power storage element having a negative electrode that includes a negative-electrode active material containing a first active material comprising a carbon material, and a second active material having a higher oxidation potential and a greater capacitance per volume than the carbon material, such that during discharge of the power storage element, the primary discharge reaction occurs in the first active material during normal operation, and the primary discharge reaction occurs in the second active material during emergency operation.
