Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle power supply which, regardless of the internal resistance of a capacitor, is capable of avoiding events where restarting from idling stop cannot be performed. The vehicle power supply (1) is provided with an auxiliary battery (4); an auxiliary device (2) and DC/DC converter (6) connected in parallel to the auxiliary battery (4); a capacitor (5) connected via the DC/DC converter (6) to the auxiliary battery (4) and the auxiliary device (2); and a starter (7) connected to the capacitor (5). The DC/DC converter (6) is provided with an internal resistance-measuring means for measuring the internal resistance of the capacitor (5). Depending on the internal resistance of the capacitor (5), the power supply (1) changes the control pertaining to the idling stop of an internal combustion engine to be started by using the starter (7).
