Abstract:
In the disclosed vehicle rear-view observation device, a threshold change unit (14) changes detection thresholds for distance sensors (4-1 to 4-4); horizontal and vertical detection areas and directional resolutions are changed; a position at which to display an obstacle mark (16) is determined on the basis of amplitude information for waves reflected from an obstacle (15) and distances to the obstacle as measured by the plurality of distance sensors (4-1 to 4-4); and an overlay unit (17) superimposes the obstacle mark (16) on an image of the obstacle (15). This configuration improves the positional precision of obstacle marks overlaid on obstacles shown on a screen.
