Abstract:
The present invention appropriately detects an event. Provided is a recording device 1 comprising: a video data acquisition unit 120 which acquires video data from an image capture unit 10 that images the area surrounding a vehicle; a travel stability determination unit 132 which determines travel stability with respect to a travel path while the vehicle is traveling; a threshold value setting unit 133 which, on the basis of the travel stability determined by the travel stability determination unit 132, changes an acceleration threshold value for detecting an event; an acceleration information acquisition unit 128 which acquires acceleration information regarding acceleration applied to the vehicle; an event detection unit 129 which, if the acceleration information acquired by the acceleration information acquisition unit 128 is equal to or greater than the threshold value set by the threshold value setting unit 133, detects that an event has occurred; and a recording control unit 123 which, if the event detection unit 129 detected that an event occurred, saves the video data corresponding to the detection of the event.
