Abstract:
The present invention provides a drive recorder (1) serving as a vehicle recording device capable of recording clear sound data which can contribute to an investigation of a cause of an accident irrespective of the volume of audio sounds reproduced in an own vehicle in event recording data. The drive recorder (1) is provided with: a video data acquisition unit (31) for acquiring video data which includes sound data and is captured for surroundings of the own vehicle; a volume detection unit (32) for detecting a volume of audio sounds reproduced in the own vehicle; and a recording control unit (34) for recording, in the case where the volume of the audio sounds detected by the volume detection unit (32) is larger than a predetermined volume, video data including data by which the volume of the audio sounds can be recognized and sound data with a less influence of the audio sounds.
