Abstract:
This invention provides a vehicle rotary electric machine that is capable of effectively cooling a rotary electric machine body and a power conversion device while suppressing increase in size. In the vehicle rotary electric machine according to this invention: a cooling device for cooling the rotary electric machine body is attached to the rotary electric machine body and is provided with an annular internal liquid refrigerant flow path through which an internal liquid refrigerant circulates along the outer periphery of the rotary electric machine body, and an external liquid refrigerant passing part through which an external liquid refrigerant circulates; the external liquid refrigerant passing part is connected to the internal liquid refrigerant flow path at a connection part that is positioned vertically above the rotary electric machine body; and the power conversion device is provided with a heat radiation surface that radiates heat generated at the power conversion device, and is attached to the cooling device, so that heat can be exchanged between the heat radiation surface and the internal liquid refrigerant at a position vertically below the connection part.
