Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle running control device which controls a vehicle velocity based on information on an inter-vehicle time gap or a vehicle velocity set in advance, in accordance with a detection state of a preceding vehicle. When a vehicle driver has performed a pedal operation of an accelerator pedal or a brake pedal and another vehicle precedes the vehicle, the inter-vehicle time gap which has been set is updated. When the driver has performed the pedal operation and no vehicle precedes the vehicle, the velocity which has been set is updated.
