Abstract:

Provided is a means for suppressing deformation due to shrinkage after shaping of a vehicle seat member in which a frame material is embedded in a foamed resin molded body. A method of manufacturing a vehicle seat member (1) which is provided with a foamed resin molded body (100) and a frame material (200) at least a portion of which is embedded in the foamed resin molded body (100), and wherein the frame material (200) is provided with framework portions (250), (260) extending inside the foamed resin molded body (100) along an outline (400) of the vehicle seat member (1) as seen in a plan view, is characterized in that during or after shaping of the foamed resin molded body (100), gaps (101), (101), (102), (102) are formed extending in the direction in which the framework portions (250), (260) extend, between at least one portion of the framework portions (250), (260) and a part of the foamed resin molded body (100) to the outside of said at least one portion.
