A permanent-magnet direct current motor and a vehicle seat using said motor, the motor comprising an armature core (30) and being characterized in that said armature core (30) comprises: a shaft portion (31), the center of the shaft portion (31) being provided with a shaft hole (32) used for mounting a rotary shaft (39), and a plurality of tooth rods (33), wherein each tooth rod (33) extends outwards along the radial direction from the outer periphery of the shaft portion (31), and an end portion of each tooth rod (33) is provided with a tooth top (34) that extends perpendicular to the tooth rod; each tooth top (34) is symmetrically provided, on a radial outer end surface thereof, with two auxiliary grooves (35); each tooth rod (33) has a radially symmetrical surface (36); and radial cross-sections at places at which center points between the radially symmetrical surfaces (36) and the auxiliary grooves (35) are located form 3-10 degree angles. Due to the iron core structure of the preset motor, said motor has a smaller size, a lighter weight and is lower in cost. In particular, an iron core having the foregoing structure may effectively lessen the vibration and noise of a motor.
