Abstract:
The present invention aims to reduce the thickness and weight of a seatback portion using a simple configuration. A seat cushion pad (110) has a main pad portion (111, 112) and a peripheral pad portion (113), a rear edge of the main pad portion (111, 112) being arranged in a cushion frame (100) so as to be pressed upward elastically with respect to the peripheral pad portion (113). In other words, the main pad portion (111, 112) on which a person sits is pressed upward elastically without the provision of a metal spring or the like. Thus, even if the main pad portion (111, 112) is made of a thinner material (urethane, etc.) than conventionally employed, it is possible to provide desired characteristics such as a sensation of the seat compressing when sitting thereon, vibration absorption, shock absorption, and the like; therefore, it is possible for the present invention to contribute to reducing the weight of a seatback portion using a simple configuration.
