Abstract:

[Problem] The present invention provides a vehicle seat such that a container space portion used as an item box can be readily increased in size without much affecting the seating comfort of a seat cushion. [Solution] In this vehicle seat (1), a container space portion (S) is provided on a front surface side of a seat cushion (SC). Because the front surface side of the seat cushion (SC) is an area where not much passenger load is exerted, the presence of the container space portion (S) does not much affect the seating comfort of the seat cushion (SC), thus facilitating an increase in size of the container space portion (S) available for an item box. The container space portion (S) is provided with an opening portion (4a) forming a load/unload opening (6) located on a side surface (5) of the seat cushion (SC) facing the center of the vehicle. Thus, the effect that the load/unload opening (6) is not readily noticeable and does not much affect the look of the seat (1) can be obtained.
