Abstract:
The present invention further minimizes the movable range of the front end of an advancing/retreating member to mitigate the degree of rattling occurring at the front end of the advancing/retreating member. This vehicle seat is equipped with: a link group that switches the state of a footrest; an advancing/retreating member (Ms) that advances and retreats in a straight line in order to move the links; and a front end receiving part (33a) that has the front end of the advancing/retreating member (Ms) attached thereto, receives the driving force of the advancing/retreating member (Ms), and transmits the driving force to the link group. The link group is provided with sub-links (25) that are each assembled, via a rivet (R1), to one of two intersecting links which mutually intersect, and that oscillate with the transmission of the driving force. In addition, when a first trajectory (RA1) for when a fixed site of the front end of the advancing/retreating member (Ms) that is fixed to the front end receiving part (33a) is pivoted about a pivot support point (a) and a second trajectory (RA2) for when a portion of the sub-links are pivoted about the rivet (R1) are projected upon a virtual plane perpendicularly intersecting the axial direction of the rivet (R1), both trajectories mutually intersect.
