Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a vehicle seat that can rotate with regard to a vehicle body and can use an airbag to prevent a collision with an object or occupant in the vicinity of a seat body. [Solution] The present invention has: a seat body 6 that is supported by a vehicle body 2b so as to be rotatable around a substantially vertical axis; airbags 17 that are provided to both left and right edges of the seat body and can deploy to both left and right side sections of an occupant sitting on the seat body; a rotation angle detection device 15 that is provided to the seat body and detects a rotation angle of the seat body with regard to the vehicle body; and a control device 22 that can control respective deployment behaviors of the left and right airbags independently from one another, said deployment behaviors including deployment amount and/or deployment timing, wherein the control device controls the deployment behaviors of the left and right airbags individually in accordance with the rotation angle that was detected with the rotation angle detection device.
