Abstract:
This vehicle seat effectively reduces the load that acts upon a passenger at the time of a vehicle collision. A vehicle seat 200 comprises a seat back S1 and a head rest S3, wherein: the seat back has therein a chest support member 20 which receives the chest H3 of a passenger H and supports the same when a reverse movement load acts upon the passenger as a result of a vehicle collision; and the head rest has therein a head support member 30 which receives the head of the passenger and supports the same when the reverse movement load acts upon the passenger. When a reverse movement load acts upon the passenger, the chest support member and the head support member both receive the reverse movement load.
