Abstract:

Provided is a vehicle seat with which an increase in size is suppressed, while an impact occurring in a seated person when an impact such as a collision occurs is appropriately absorbed.　In a vehicle seat S provided with a seat cushion S1, the seat cushion S1 is provided with a seat cushion frame provided with a pair of side frames S14 which are provided separated from one another in the width direction of the vehicle seat S, a seat cushion pad S11 placed on the seat cushion frame, and an impact absorbing member 20 provided below the seat cushion pad S11, wherein: the impact absorbing member 20 is disposed between the pair of side frames S14 in the width direction of the vehicle seat S; a void portion 23 is provided in the impact absorbing member 20; and the impact absorbing member 20 is supported from below by a plate-shaped member 10.
