Abstract:
A vehicle sharp turn recognition method, comprising the following steps: acquiring monitoring data returned by an acceleration sensor borne on a vehicle; obtaining a lateral acceleration of the vehicle by calculating by means of a preset algorithm according to the monitoring data, wherein the direction of the lateral acceleration is consistent with the normal vector direction of a plane formed by the direction of gravity and an advancing direction of the vehicle; and determining whether a vehicle carries out a sharp turn according to the lateral acceleration. Also disclosed is a vehicle sharp turn recognition apparatus. In the vehicle sharp turn recognition method and apparatus, monitoring data returned by an acceleration sensor is used to obtain lateral acceleration, and a vehicle sharp turn is recognized according to the lateral acceleration, thereby making the recognition for vehicle sharp turns more accurate and having lower costs.
