Disclosed is a vehicle shift controller which adequately reflects the user's intension of manipulation on electrical shift control provided to the parking position for parking locking. When at least one of "a plurality of continual short pressing manipulations of a vehicle power switch (40)" is performed under a condition of a predetermined vehicle speed V' or less, a shift is made to the P-position prior to a shift to an ACC-ON status in an "emergency IG-OFF actuation". This ensures the shift to the P-position irrespective of the fact that executing the "emergency IG-OFF actuation" to force the shift to the ACC-ON status would possibly cause the shift to the P-position not to be made due to the ACC-ON status even if the aforementioned one manipulation is performed under the predetermined vehicle speed V' or less. That is, when the user performs "the plurality of continual short pressing manipulations of the vehicle power switch (40)" in the vicinity of the predetermined vehicle speed V' in expectation of an "auto-P-actuation", the P-locking is performed as the user has intended.
