A vehicle side portion battery swap station, pertaining to the field of electric vehicle battery swap stations. The vehicle side portion battery swap station comprises a battery swap compartment (18). A parking space (19) is provided in the battery swap compartment (18). An access port (20) used by a vehicle to enter or leave the parking space (19) is provided on the battery swap compartment (18). A battery swap window (22) is provided on a side portion of the battery swap compartment (18). The battery swap window (22) is directly opposite a side portion of a vehicle to be subjected to a battery swap in the parking space (19). A battery swap device (21) for a battery (30) is provided on the other side of the battery swap window (22) facing away from the parking space (19). The battery swap device (21) for the battery (30) performs a swap between an empty battery (30) and a fully charged battery (30) by means of the battery swap window (22). The vehicle side portion battery swap station allows all battery swap operations to be completed indoors, and is therefore safe. In addition, the battery swap station further comprises a positioning mechanism, the battery swap device (21) for a battery (30), etc., does not need manual operation, automatically completes a swap of a battery (30) of an electric vehicle, and has high efficiency.
