Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle speed limiter which makes it possible to perform control in order to limit the maximum speed without affecting the feeling of driving the vehicle. The vehicle speed limiter comprises: a 3D map (46a) from which the target throttle valve opening (θB) of a throttle valve (28) is derived on the basis of the throttle grip opening (θA) and the engine speed; and a throttle valve drive unit (47) for driving a throttle valve motor (30) in accordance with the target throttle valve opening. A first maximum speed limiter opening is calculated by adding: a first prescribed opening calculated by multiplying a preset P-term coefficient by the vehicle velocity deviation, a second prescribed opening calculated by multiplying a preset D-term coefficient by the vehicle acceleration, and the current throttle valve opening. If the calculated first maximum speed limiter opening becomes smaller than the target throttle valve opening (θB), the throttle valve motor (30) is driven on the basis of the first maximum speed limiter opening.
